Pakistan Postage Stamps: 1977

year 1977 was the birth centenary of the national poet of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal. To commemorate the occasion a set of five stamps was issued on the occasion. Details  given below.
 14th April 1977: Social Welfare and Rural Development Year
 21st July 1977: 13th Anniversary of RCD
 
 A set of three stamps was issued on the occasion showing: Human Faced Vase. Turkey. Terra cotta Bullock Cart. Pakistan, and Pitcher with Spout Sialk Hill, Iran
 9th August 1977: National Tree Plantation Campaign
6th September 1977: United Nation Conference on Desertification - Nairobi, showing cactus plants and desert



3rd October - Universal Children Day
 2nd November 1977: Birth Centenary of Agha Khan III
9th November 1977: Birth Centenary of Dr Muhammad Iqbal - The stamps showed two paintings by Behzad (of denomination Paisa 20 and 65), two stamps (of denomination Rs. 1.25 and 2.25) showing verses of the Iqbal and central stamp (Rs. 3.00 denomination) showed portrait of the poet philosopher
21st November 1977: Hajj 1977 AD / 1379 AH. The stamps bore the photo of Masjid Al Haram, Kaabah and Arabic inscription of Labbaik around it
19th December 1977: World Rheumatism Year - 1977. The stamp bore two human features: One of the Rheumatic patient and other of healthy man
